GCC Graduate Climate Conference

Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending the fantastic Graduate Climate Conference, hosted by the students at University of Washington. I made this short video to sum up the experience.

The conference was a great chance to get to know people across the broad spectrum of climate science. I wish I had had time to do more interviews with some of the interesting characters I met, but (for better or worse) I had to actually attend the conference and pay attention. Nevertheless, I’m pretty happy with how the video came out.

Mark Raleigh helped to hook me up with a sweet Panasonic AG-HMC150 camera, quite a beast compared to my little Cannon HFS-100. Needless to say, it was really fun shooting with such a pro camera…

Atmospheric chemist Laura Meredith recently took a trip out to Harvard Forest, a Long-Term Ecological Research site in Petersham, Massachusetts, to deploy a custom-built instrument that measures the flux of hydrogen from the forest to the Atmosphere. We brought the camera along and made this short documentary.
